Good Check-Up

All was well with the check-up. Kelby is doing just fine. The doctors don't have any worries with her. Her counts are up a quite a bit, but not yet over 1000 again. The doctor did say that it is possible that one of the preventative medicines that we have to give to Kelby may be bringing her counts down. There are no plans to do anything about it yet though. Anyways, health-wise Kelby is doing great! Nothing much else is going on with us. Love to you all!

Making An Appointment

I need to take Kelby in for a check-up this week I think. I haven't made the appointment yet though. The doctors don't seem at all concerned that her counts are staying low this long. It must be normal for the tranplant patients. Maybe once they go up this time, they'll stay up. She seems to be feeling just fine! No real progress on the potty training yet...I sure hope that when Kelby grows up and reads this website, she isn't offended that the whole world knew she was starting her potty training. I have recently heard from a lady about their son Brian that is 3 months post transplant and they found cancer again on his 3 month scans. He was seeming to do very well, but it came back and caught them off guard. When I heard this, it brought me back to reality. Kelby's fight isn't over yet, so please keep praying for her...and while you are thinking of it...send up a little prayer for that three-year-old boy Brian and his family. God Bless you all!!!

Okay..Okay..Some Pictures :)

Hello there everyone! I dusted off the ol' digital camera and downloaded some pictures to put up here for you. Mike did a wonderful "welcome to my church" on Sunday and I hope to get him to put the video that he made for that on-line. It is a new version of the lastest movie that he put on-line. He got to give the church an update and tell them a little about what God has taught him through all this. They all were glad to see that Kelby is doing so well...and he got to bring tears to everyone's eyes by telling his story. Anyways, here are some cute pics of Kelby. I need to get busy and take more of Tegan!

YEAH...July button!

Well, I guess that since Mike got the button made, I better give everyone another update. Hum, what is going on around here? Not much really. We are all doing pretty good. I guess I better be taking more pictures because I haven't done that in awhile. Kelby really is getting her hair back in now. I am sooo excited for her hair. The weather has been kind of gray, so we haven't gone outside as much. Our car is working again, so that has been wonderful...of course, I haven't really gone anywhere since I have had it. I think that I am kind of bored now that things are going so well. I need to come up with more to do I guess. I have been enjoying the time with Kelby though. We hang out together. It is time to think about potty training now. That scares me a little. It sure will be nice to have her out of diapers though! Anyways, we are doing great. Keep Kelby in your prayers that this cancer doesn't come back. So good, so far!

Still No July Button!

Can you believe that there is still no July button? Mike just has other things on his mind I guess. Anyways, it is finally raining today. This is the Seattle weather I was missing. You know, sometimes I am just in the mood for rain. Gramma was noticing Kelby's bandaid...and yes, she does get a boo-boo here and there. Her system seems to be working just fine though, because she has healed from every boo-boo just fine! I am really careful to clean and take care of any scratches, so maybe that is why she is doing fine. She is just being a normal kid, and those boo-boo's seem to happen. The appointment on Friday was for a checkup and blood counts. They think she is doing great. Her weight is doing just fine. Her blood counts are hanging out around 650...hopefully they'll work there way up for good. I asked the Doc when to expect that Kelby can go to the children's church or MOPS, and he said that six months from transplant she should be good enough to handle the viruses and things that she'd be exposed to there. That means her counts should be normalized by November. She is fine to go to the mall and things already. I can take her around kids that I know are healthy. It is okay to take her to the park too. The doctor said to just keep her from putting yucky things in her mouth. I have to wash her hands a lot. Also, Kelby's doctor said that the radiologist's actual findings from Kelby's scans said she was looking much better. Kelby's doctor had originally just looked at the scans himself and thought they looked about the same and for sure not worse. The radiologist thought though that the bones where solidifying more which is a better sign that the activity in the bone is healing. I was excited to here that!

Not Doin' Much

Our car has been in the shop for almost a week now, so we haven't been able to do much at all. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow. I need it to take Kelby down for a check-up in Seattle on Friday. Kelby is doing great. I have been doing lots of stamping, so that is keeping me from going stir-crazy! I just have so much fun stamping. The weekend went by fast...I don't really remember what we did. We must have stayed home since we don't have a car that can take all of us anywhere. I am just SOOO thankful that the car waited to die until after we were done driving down to the hospital all the time. Those cars can be expensive...of course what can we expect...we put 10,000+ miles on the car in six months! I just don't know what to tell you all anymore since things are so good. If you have anything you really want to know...feel free to ask in the guestbook. That will give me suggestions of what to tell you. I can tell you that I am just so thankful that we have a "normal" life right now. I am so thankful for every moment. We should all be that way because you never really know what life will bring. There are things to be thankful for at every moment in life...remember those things..and say a prayer of thanks. That will be sure to cheer you up!

All Is Well

Hello again everyone. I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th! We did. It has been absolutely beautiful weather around here. Mike and I even got a little sunburned on the Fourth. Kelby's counts are going up now. Here are some pictures of her being a little mischievous.

Summer 2015

This is how we roll… Summer has been full of studying for me, working for Mike, Kelby, and Tegan, and hanging out for Anika! We have spent ...
