It's Friday Again!

Well, it looks like a good day for me to write is Friday's when I get the blood counts back. We have had another wonderful week. Mike and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary by going out to dinner and bowling! We had so much fun bowling. I didn't do very good, but I felt like a kid again. This week has just blown by...I can't remember what I have been up to. Last weekend we went to the fair for a few hours on Saturday. Kelby liked looking at the animals. We all got tired, so we didn't last that long. Then, Sunday was the church picnic, so we ate way too much food and hung out with friends! Sunday night Mike went fishing and caught two salmon! He had a good time catching them. We had to eat one on Monday night...and it was REALLY good. I wasn't expecting much, so that was a pleasant surprise...of course, it might have had something to do with all the butter, lemon and garlic it was cooked in. I have been working on Stampin' Up stuff because I am having an open house on Saturday. I get to show off some new stuff we sell. I told my sister-in-law Melissa that it doens't even matter if nobody comes because I had so much fun getting ready for it! Oh yeah, so you want to know about those girls, eh? They are doing so good. Tegan is just as happy as can be. She is just joyful from deep within. She rolled over for the first time yesterday. Well, she was on her tummy when I went and got her in the morning at least. Kelby is doing just great. Here counts are holding up there! YEAH! It has been a bit rainy these last few days, so she has been a little stir-crazy. She really likes going "bye-bye" no matter where we are going. So, I try to get out once a day to keep her happy. So, we are all doing great. Kelby doesn't have a doctor's appointment now for a couple more weeks, but they'll be doing scans soon after that I think. Keep praying everyone! It sure is working.

Doing Great!

Well, it has been a whole week since I last wrote! Wow! I seem to write more when I see new people leaving entries in the guestbook. We always like to know when people are checking up on us. I have great news with Kelby's counts today! She has a 1350 ANC! That always makes us feel more comfortable. I was surprised that it was so low last week and so high this week. Maybe the messed up on last weeks counts? Who knows. I just can't wait until the counts go up and stay up for good. Her red blood and platelet counts seem to be staying up now! Kelby is just doing great. She plays and plays. Our life is wonderful right now. I'll work on getting some pictures this weekend. If we are going to have a new movie, I fear I'll have to work on it myself. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for checking up on my family. Love to you all.

Last Saturday evening, we got to go visit Mike's Gramma and Grampa in Hansville. They live across the water, so we got to ride the ferry. Kelby loved it! It was windy and she kept saying "windy water!"

Three Months Post Transplant!!!

Tomorrow the 11th is exactly three months post transplant! Thank you Lord for these wonderful months that we have had at home with our princesses. Her doctor appointment today was pretty uneventful. They just check to make sure that everything is moving okay, check her blood pressure, etc. Everything looked okay to them. They checked and her blood counts are really down right now. They don't have a good reason for it, but again, they aren't too worried about it. She is taking Accutane (two pills twice a day) now with 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. She just started that again this Monday, so my thought is that maybe the Accutane brings her counts down...then when she is off of it for awhile, the counts go back up. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes this next cycle. Even if that were the case, they wouldn't change anything because the Accutane is really important. We will continue to have her counts checked once a week, but we won't have to go back down for a check-up unless something else comes up. The next time we go down (next month) she will have scans done again. Besides her counts being down, she is absolutely doing great! You sure can't tell from the outside that her counts are down. I am glad that we won't have to go back down for awhile. It took me FOREVER to get home today. I am sick of the traffic. So, what have we been up too? I have been making lots of cards for samples for my rubber stamping demonstration business. It is a great escape for me. Kelby has been enjoying the outside. I get a good coating of sunscreen on her and let her go out in the back yard. She is such a good little girl. She hasn't been naughty the last few days. We play together too. She likes to kiss on Tegan all the time. We are all very happy. Mike is working normal hours now, so life is quite normal. My biggest challenge now-a-days is getting my grocery shopping done with two kids! Kelby received a wonderful home-made quilt from the Bakker Family...and here she is all wrapped up and cozy in it. She really likes the quilt! Thanks so much you guys. (I love it too, and might have to borrow it sometimes :) The first picture is a funny angle, but she is so cute anyways. She is sporting a cute dress that Gramma GiGi sent to her!

Pictures

Here are a couple cute pictures of Kelby for today. Kelby was a little bit of a stinker last week. She is really testing me I think. She is doing much better this week. Hopefully it isn't the "terrible twos". She's still pretty much an angel!

Happy August!

Kelby's last counts came in and they are really good! We are so excited. They seem to be coming up just fine now. I hope they keep climbing. Her hair is just growing like crazy. We went fishing yesterday and she had a wonderful time. It was even raining and she loved it! She was smiling and saying "sprinkler". On the drive there she was saying, "I love you tree", "I love you rock"! It was so cute. There just isn't anymore to write about these days. We are just normal family again. We are all continueing to pray that we get to stay this way! I am just enjoying every moment for what it is. That is all that any of us can do. We have thankful hearts! I'll try to take some more pictures later today. Everyone is sleeping right now. God Bless

Summer 2015

This is how we roll… Summer has been full of studying for me, working for Mike, Kelby, and Tegan, and hanging out for Anika! We have spent ...
