Well, let's see...I can't remember what has happened since I last wrote. We've been adjusting to having a tiny baby and having three kids in these last four weeks. Anika is 4 weeks old today. It really has flown by. All three girls are doing great. I'm hanging in there. This last week I had a bit of mastitis that wiped me out. That is an infection in a milk duct. I couldn't believe how it wiped me out. I had body aches and chills worse than the flu. They gave me one antibiotic, but it didn't work so I got another. Then I was on the mend. Mike had to stay home from work on Tuesday to help me because I couldn't do anything. Anika did fine through the whole thing. Then I had to catch up on the house and all when I got better.
I did a Stampin' Up party at a friends house on Thursday night. I decided I'd give that another go focusing on selling more scrapbooking stuff. I had so much fun that I'm going to keep it up on a really low-key level. I think I'll put the speaking thing on hold for a while. I just can't do what I used to with three girls. The Stampin' Up! is easier and still gives me a chance to get a night out here and there. Last weekend I went to a retreat for the speakers bureau and met all the ladies. They are all in a different stage of life than I am...with their kids all in school. It made me realize that I have plenty of time to do that. Right now I can still work on my talks, but not keep myself so busy with it. It's all gotta balance.
Anika is doing great. We still trying to figure out our schedule and sleeping etc. She only wakes me once in the middle of the night most of the time now. During the day sometimes she starts to cry and nothing really makes her happy...even holding her. I think she gets overtired and then can't fall asleep. We're still working out the kinks. We stay at home a lot because it is harder to get out with all three and to manage Anika's feeding times...but we have still done our Friday Costco Days and it goes well. It's all a big adjustment. We do love that little baby. She is fun and adorable most of the time.
Kelby is a great big sister. She always wants to hold Anika...she thinks she can even hold her and walk around, but I don't let her. Kelby always is playing with the horses that she got for Christmas. She especially enjoys her "My Little Pony". Both Tegan and her spend almost every morning in the bathtub. They will play together in there for almost an hour...until they are completely waterlogged. Tegan loves to play whatever Kelby is doing...or she'll play and play on the computer. She's learned how to use the computer really well in the last few weeks. Now I have to time their computer time so there is no fighting...15 minutes then switch.
Gramma Debbie and Grampa George just moved into their new house. They've been working for months to get it ready...doing a major restoration. Now they are getting settled in. Mike helped them move last weekend. The girls like their new house...though Kelby said, "I like their old house much better because it had a TV." That's a bad sign that she's addicted to the TV I guess. Anyways, with the TV set up now they are quite happy!
Well, here's some more pictures because pictures are worth 1000 words right?
