Oops! Where Did March Go?

Wow, time is always flying by these days. We are doing great. Our family has school, work, and trying to raise $38,500 for Kelby's school.

Michael and I had a wonderful vacation in Leavenworth, WA. It is a cute "Bavarian" town in the Cascade mountains. We just "dated" all weekend. We played pool, saw a movie, went hiking, and played miniature golf. We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast Ranch. It was so romantic and relaxing. I even got a massage!

Gramma Debbie stayed at our house with the girls. They had a wonderful time and barely wanted us to come home.

Kelby's got a bunch of loose teeth, but hasn't lost any yet. I imagine it will be any day. She's not brave enough to yank them out.

Anika learned how to climb down the stairs. She used to go up and get mad because she couldn't get down. She's still just a little peanut, not weighing more than 20 pounds. I want to put her in a forward facing carseat, but I'm not suppossed to yet. She's a happy little girl, smiling and flirting with everyone that walks by her.

Tegan got a new bike today. Her other bike was too small to get her anywhere. Now she'll be able to keep up with Kelby.
We have been rollerskating almost every weekend lately. The girls love it and are doing so well. The rink near our house has a special deal on Saturday's where the parents skate free with kids under eight. Anika relaxes in a stroller as I speed around the floor. I just got new rollerblades to use!

The weather was good until Spring Break decided to come with all its rain! Kelby doesn't have school all week. I wanted to go down to the zoo, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

I still haven't fully finished my short story. Once my class ended, I put it aside. Now I'm fully engaged in getting the fundraising off to a start for the playground. I made a website for our school's parent group.
Check it out! I also started a "blog" about our efforts. Check out my blog! I even designed a cute logo for us.

Have you heard all the rage about the blog? A blog is a web-log, an online journal. I guess we were on the cutting edge when we started this website. This is a blog, but now it is all automated. My "Playground Blog" is hosted for free, and it is actually easier to update than this one.

Mike has joined the "Relay for Life" team at his office. They agree to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The walk is in June. There has to be someone from their team on the track the whole time. At night they light decorated luminaries in honor or in memory of people that had cancer. Kelby will get to walk the survivor lap at the end. We have purple wrist bands to sell for $1 or more donation. They have the word "HOPE" molded in them. If anyone would like to donate to the American Cancer Society through this fundraiser, you can send a check payable to "American Cancer Society" to us. We can send back reciepts for tax purposes too.

Speaking of cancer, Kelby continues to do wonderfully. She got a cold last week, but otherwise is doing great. Her blood counts were great at her last check up. I am always on alert for every little thing she has wrong with her. That continues to be hard on me, but I am doing better at appreciating the now and worrying less. I am happy these days when I spend time praying and reading my bible. I am in a really great bible study at church that has been so helpful.

We are all doing really well. We aren't too busy, so don't worry too much. We are doing very well at living happy, balanced lives by prioritizing and taking time to rollerskate!

Summer 2015

This is how we roll… Summer has been full of studying for me, working for Mike, Kelby, and Tegan, and hanging out for Anika! We have spent ...
