So, things have been great here. The leaves are all changing and the weather is cooler, but the sun is still shining for the most part.
Last weekend I got to get away up to the “Mountain Top Crop”. That’s my scrapbook vacation! My friend Julia came too and we had a great time and even got some scrapbooking done. I wish I had gotten more done, but I got a good start. It is almost all the scrapbooking I do these days. They were having a 70’s costume contest, so I dressed up like Wonder Woman to be a little crazy. I didn’t win though…Sonny and Cher did!

Mike and the girls had a great time without me. They went to the Festival of Family Farms with Gramma and Grampa Wright. Then, as a surprise, Mike took them down to Seattle to watch the “Guardians of Ga’hoole” in 3D at the Pacific Science Center’s IMAX theater. The kids thought they were going down to get some “papers”…but the papers ended up being their tickets to the movie.
Last week’s Girl Scout meeting was my younger girls. We worked on friendship stuff. This week my big Girl Scouts worked on planning a Halloween party for the small girls. Girl Scouts sure keeps me busy, but I’m getting better at it this year. The girls still like me being their leader at least.
Here is the day the girls got their silly bands from their aunty Andrea! They were so excited. She’s even sending them costumes for Halloween that she happened to have lying around. I’m so excited that I don’t have to make too many costumes this year.
On Friday night we had a sleepover party with one friend over for each girl. We watched a movie and they girls did really great with their friends. Everyone slept in their own rooms. We figured we might as well get it over with and do everyone’s sleepover at once!
Anika got to go to a birthday party for our neighbor girl at the Fire Department last weekend. She even got to ride on the truck and spray water from it!
We were invited to our new pastor’s house for dinner after church on Sunday. It was so nice. It was a full Sunday dinner of Lasagna. They had their daughter and her family there, Pastor’s mom, and a neighbor. We really enjoyed the time and really appreciated the invitation.
We wanted to go camping last weekend, but it rained, so now we are planning to go this coming weekend for one last hurrah. We’ll see how it goes.
Kelby’s doing really well in school so far. She’s got A’s on her mid-terms and did 100% on her playing test for band. And FYI, the book that I stood up against was restricted and won’t be used except with parent permission and then only for grades 11 &12 advanced placement English classes. I am very pleased! I guess the district will listen to concerned parents. That is a major relief.
Mike and I have been working on a website for our new church. It is going to be pretty nice. I’m excited. Plus, I’ve handed it to Michael and he is doing a lot of work on it, so I’m able to relax about it.
I hope everyone is enjoying their fall. Love you all!
