Leaves are Changing

I just thought that I'd drop a short note to you all this morning. I am feeling much better now. We all had that bug. Tegan and Mike had it before me and Kelby. Hopefully we'll all feel good for awhile.

The girls have been out in the pool again because it has been so nice here. We are shocked by the weather this fall. It gets cooler at night, but everyday is 80 degrees.

We have been doing the same old stuff. The weekends now are very relaxing. Mike watches football and the girls play. I love the sound of football on Sunday afternoon because it reminds me of being at Gramma and Grampa Morrow's house when I was a kid! If only there was a roast in the oven. Oh well, I think that we'll BBQ instead.

Love to you all!

Here I am Again!

I'm just being so lazy with the website these days. There really hasn't been all that much to write about these days I guess.

I had a wonderful birthday. I needed a day to myself because the girls were going through a naughty stage. So I spent the afternoon doing some shopping and enjoyed it so much. I might just need to do that more often...especially after the new baby is born.

The girls are finally on the other side of that naughty stage. I think they were getting used to sharing a room. They seem to be doing great in the same room now. Naps even go over easy. We just had to get strict with for awhile. Now they believe that I mean business again.

Mike has been out catching salmon these days. He's smoked a couple and it is sure tasty. Does anybody out there love smoked salmon? I bet it would survive a trip in the mail. His first batch was extra salty, but I'm keeping that for myself because it satisfes my salty cravings every now and then.

I came down with a yucky bug last night. I had things I wanted to work on, but I had to go to bed instead. I let the girls watch TV pretty much all day while I napped on the couch. It won't hurt them for one day right?

I've been working on writing out messages now that I've completed all the classes for the Northwest Christian Speakers Bureau. I already have two speaking engagements though them. There is one coming up on October 3rd. That one is at a conference for families and I am speaking about writing a family vision statement. This is all so exciting for me and I really enjoy it too. The other one is the real deal for a big church in Tacoma (about 100 miles south of here). I get to talk about simplifing Christmas. This one is so perfect for me. It is for a big ladies event. I'm nervous-excited for that one! I'll be getting paid for it! I hope I can do a great job for that one. I'll have to practice a ton. It is on November 20th, so I have lots of time! Keep me in your prayers about all of this because I only want to do it if God is using me.

I also started a women's bible study at church. It is a study that I've already done, so I am going to be a small group leader. It is going to be so much fun for me. I'm not going to be in leadership for MOPS this year, so I won't have that to worry about this year.

I guess that I have a lot of things going on, but I feel pretty good about the balance I've found. I've been only working on stuff in the evening and nap time and still finding time to relax. I'm also getting the scrapbooking bug again, so I'll need to get caught up on this year. I don't have many pages done for this year yet. Oh yeah, and then there's Christmas to think about. I'll have to keep it pretty simple this year with baby on the way. I'll have lots to share in my talk on Simplifying Christmas because I'll have to do it myself!

Let's see, that's about all that's been going on with me. I guess that I have been pretty busy and that's why I haven't updated the website lately. I almost forgot. I got a scrapbook layout published in a magazine! It is coming out in October in a special digital scrapbooking issue of Simple Scrapbooks! I will even be getting $75 for it! I wrote a little review about a program I use for my pictures and they are using my scrapbook pages to illustrate the review. Cool...I'm now a published "writer and artist"! :)

So about those girls...I can't believe how they are growing up. I suppose the pictures will help you see that better than words. Kelby is such a little girl now and even Tegan isn't a baby anymore. Tegan talks so well now. Kelby is always pretending to be some kind of animal, and Tegan is always playing with babies and Barbies. It is amazing how different they are! Both truely love boxes. I'm really thinking about getting them a big box for Christmas! I bet that Santa would bring them one. Kelby keeps asking me to let her run through the sprinkler. She doesn't understand that time of year is over.

It has finally started to rain here. I'm actually enjoying it! It feels and smells like fall, my favorite season.

I guess that Kelby is due for a scan in October, but I'm not sure how that is going to work this time. We switched insurance companies this time, so we'd have to doctors and Children's hopistal this time. Plus the scan will cost us about $1000 out of pocket this time. I'd like to postpone it until next year. It is up to me to make the appointments I guess. She is doing so great right now. I have no suspicon that there might be something there this time. It is nice to not feel worried about it. We'll have to see what happens.

Debbie and George (Gramma and Grampa Wright) will be moving soon. All the grandparents are moving these days I guess. My mommy and daddy moved to Arizona, but Michael's are just moving one town over. They found a house to fix up, so it will be quite the project.

We are currently the happiest little family that we know! I just can't think of anything else that is going on around here. Everything is good.

Summer 2015

This is how we roll… Summer has been full of studying for me, working for Mike, Kelby, and Tegan, and hanging out for Anika! We have spent ...
