1. Dentist
Well, Kelby’s dental appointment was a non-event this week. We drove 1 1/2 hours down there for them to say, “Well, we looked at the chart and need to do some more research before we pull that tooth.” Kinda lame. I am glad on one hand though because there can be issues with bone that has been radiated. I guess that the bone can have trouble healing. The tooth roots are very shallow however, so I’m not sure it will be a problem. So, it is best that they figure it all out before doing it. The dumb part is that they didn’t figure that out before we drove all that way!
2. Camping
I did it! I camped in February! Brrrr….it was under 30 degree this morning! My Girl Scout training for Outdoor 2 was fun and informative. I’m so happy that it wasn’t raining, but it was still cold. I actually really enjoyed myself and even stayed warm while sleeping. The cabins were totally open air cabins, so it was chilly, but I packed two sleeping bags and an extra blanket. I had to have this training before taking the girls camping in outdoor structures. Now I can even have them sleep in my backyard for a training run! We’ll be able to do that later this spring.
3. Got Cookies
We got our Girl Scout cookies this week. The girls were out delivering this afternoon. Tegan is really my business woman. She’s not afraid to sell or deliver. I dare say she even likes it. Next weekend we’ll be doing some site sales. Hope those go well. If anyone wants some that didn’t pre-order, I can still get them for you, so let me know.
4. Sun and Fun
Since I had to take the van down to my training, Mike had the girls, but was stuck at home. His truck isn’t running reliable right now, so he didn’t want me to take that. But, since the weather is quite nice, it sounds like they had a great time anyway. The rode their bikes over to McDonald’s and the park yesterday and then went rollerblading today.
Spring has already sprung here! The ornamental plum tree in my front yard is already flowering! The plants are all coming up. Mike even had to mow the lawn this weekend. I hope it stays nice and doesn’t trick us with some frost now.
