Just Me & Anika...

It has been a good week for us. The big girls, although exhausted, have been having a great time at camp and are quite sad it is over today. Anika will be happy to have her sisters back though. She actually plays very well on her own. She loves the kiddie pool almost as much as Kelby did.

I forgot to tell you that we had a "bead in the nose" incident with Anika last week. She was making funny noses and pointing up her nose. She said "Bee" and pointed at Kelby's beads that were left out. I wasn't sure that was what had really happened, but I took her into the doctor anyway. Sure enough there was a blue bead up her nose. The doctor had a sneaky trick though. He asked her to "blow out" his light with her nose (the light he uses to look in ears and noses.) He had me show her what he meant and next thing we knew the bead was out! No crying involved! It was very impressive. Even the doctor wished we had video taped it.

The weather here is a bit hot, so today I'm hanging out inside. I know you all are laughing at me because our "hot" is just right for most of you, but remember we don't have air conditioning. Yesterday I did yard work and almost got my "flower-bed" weeded. Of course, with no weeds it looks a little barren.

We might try camping again this week, but we're not sure yet. Hope everyone has a great weekend too. Keep cool.

Off at Day Camp!

We had a wonderfull, relaxing weekend when we packed up the van (it fix our stuff very nicely) and drove up into the mountains. This time we didn't even have to bring the baby bed for Anika. She slept in an air mattress sleeping bag just like the big girls. We sat by the lake and the girls pretended to fish for a long time. Then they went on a walk with Dad while Anika took a nap.

Kelby talked her dad into putting a real hook on her fishing pole. Committed to catching a fish, she sat patiently for about an hour on Sunday morning. Mike said she had one on her hook for a bit, but didn't get to reel it in. She LOVES fishing, which makes Michael really happy.

I told Mike that since we did it once, I'm ready to go again anytime. Camping is so much easier after that first trip of the season. Now I know where everything is and the hardest part will be thinking of and packing good food to eat. If anyone has good and easy camping recipes, please email them to me!

Tegan and Kelby are off to Day Camp at church this week. Me and Anika already miss them. Anika says now, "'ant Sis"which is her way of saying "Want Sisters." She and will be buddies this week. I just hope Kelby and Tegan don't get too tired out this week. They'll be at the church from 9:00-4:00 each day and 5:00 even on Wednesday. What will Anika and I do?

I have been reading the book "Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul". If you are a woman, I would recommend it to you! It is about feminine beauty. I have underlined about half of the book. We are reading it for my book club.

New Pictures

I have finally organized and posted all the photos from this month. I can't believe that June is over already. Yesterday we went back to the church pool. It seems we will be there probably every day this summer. The girls LOVE the pool...even Anika!

I am motivated to get my kitchen decorated now and a few other projects around the house, so I hope July proves to be productive. Otherwise, I haven't any major plans for the rest of the summer. We need to get out camping, but decided this weekend wouldn't be the best with all the 4th of July campers out there! Maybe we can camp next weekend.

We are enjoying family time and I hope you all are too over the Fourth! Have a good one.

Summer 2015

This is how we roll… Summer has been full of studying for me, working for Mike, Kelby, and Tegan, and hanging out for Anika! We have spent ...
