We started it all out with a waffle for breakfast on the "You Are Special" plate. Anika never forgets to have me use the special plate.
In the afternoon, a few of her friends came over and we went bowling at the recently reopened local bowling alley. It was great fun, The girls did pretty good, especially for not having bumpers. Anika won with a score of 49.
That evening, the family came over for cookie cake and ice cream. We forced them to watch home videos of a little Anika. Grampa George brought her a refrigerator box which was the highlight since that is all she wanted!
I let her have one friend spend the night and in the end she was satisfied with her mid-holiday birthday. Phew!
