I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. We've had a nice couple of weeks since Day Camp. I don't remember what we did that weekend after day camp, but the week after Mike took off a couple days and we went camping. It was a mini vacation of sorts since we went camping one night, then went over the mountains and stayed in the cute little tourist town of Winthrop in a cabin resort with a pool. The first day the girls spent jumping off a dock into the icy water of the lake. Then we all slept well in the tent that night and packed up by 9:30 the next morning. Then as soon as we checked into our cabin the girls swam and swam and swam so more. Kelby and Tegan are swimming along under water now. I think Kelby is almost to the point she could be trusted in the deep end. We went out to dinner then swam even more. When we got up in the morning, guess what we did...yes, watched cartoons, then swam some more once the pool opened up. It was hot there, in the 90's. We came home for a restful Saturday and Sunday. We enjoyed a luau for cousins Riley & Luke's birthdays on Sunday too.
This week is simply normal. Cleaning on Monday. We did some shopping yesterday. I am learning to enjoy these simple days. I've started the girls on some school work to get Tegan ready for kindergarten and to make sure Kelby hasn't forgotten how to read over the summer. Tegan LOVES to do workbook pages. She almost finished the book I gave her yesterday. Kelby doesn't seem to enjoy it as much, so maybe I can help her with that.
My bible study group has ended for the summer, but I think we are going to start back up again in the fall once the kids are established at school. I have gotten so much out of having those ladies as friends and the study we did.
The update is a little boring today it seems. I have a ton of pictures to go through and post soon though, so be watching.
