Yikes, I really can't believe that October is already gone. I also noticed I only wrote one time last month. Sorry about that. I don't even know what I've been up to.
Oh yeah, we've been harvesting! Mike made grape and apple jelly all by himself and even canned them. I am so impressed. He has also been drying our apples. It has been so much fun having all this fruit in the back yard. He also grew some pumpkins which the girls painted. We also had our annual visit to the pumpkin farm to pick pumpkins to carve and take pictures. The pictures of October are almost always my favorite of the year!
Kelby really likes school this year. She gives an excited "good!" every time I ask her how her day went. Tegan seems very happy and content in her class too.
This year we didn't go to the big church "Arktoberfest" on Halloween. We went to Debbie and George's for chili and hotdogs, came home and hit a few houses for "trick-or-treating", then settled in for steamed milk and carameled apples, and then watched a movie while we handed out candy. I enjoyed myself so much, but I think the girls will want to go back to the Arktoberfest next year. I just wanted to play down Halloween and focus on the giving of candy more than getting this year. They were still adorable though. Kelby was a cheetah, Tegan was a lion, and Anika was a frog.
I'm going to post this now and hopefully write more soon.
