I know, I know...it's been forever since I wrote. I appreciate your patience and understanding. They are always the best days in our lives when I don't have to update very often.
We had a cute parrot, adorable kitty, and precious bumble bee for Halloween this year. Check out their adorable pictures. Kelby couldn't wait for Halloween so she could finally wear her costume. Now it will become a permanent part of our dress-up clothes collection. That girl is an animal at heart. She got a plastic bear nose at the Church's Halloween party, and now it is always on her face. At least she sheds her animal personalities for kindergarten in the morning.
Tegan, Anika and I went to Kelby's class Halloween party on Friday. Tegan fit right in with the other kids and the teacher was impressed with her listening skills. It was amazing to see all those kids behave so well for their teacher. They had goodies, cookies, and juice and watched Charlie Brown. Little Austin was there dressed as "Kelby's Knight in Shining Armour." His mom said that is what he actually asked to dress up as. Is that not adorable? He asked Kelby if he could have his picture taken with her. I'm glad there is a little boy in Kelby's class that is watching out for her. God has really laid her on Austin's heart. I really appreciate it.
I had great fun a couple weekends ago at my 27-hour scrapbooking event! I only slept for 45 minutes. Now I'm all caught up with my scrapbooking projects. It was so much fun that I can't wait to go again next year. I think the girls enjoyed their weekend with Dad too.
The next day we went out to the pumpkin fields to pick our pumpkins. It is a tradition and we almost missed it this year because of the rainy weather. Luckily it cleared up for a few hours. We always go to the farm with the animals and apple orchard. They have the best "photo-op" places. The next night we did the carving. Tegan jumped right in with gutting the pumpkin, but Kelby was a little more timid. Tegan wouldn't even accept any help.
Last week Kelby had a day off of school, so I took them to the local Children's museum. They have a ton of fun there. Kelby could barely contain her excitement about wearing the animal costumes they have there! There are some cute pictures of the girls playing there. Anika was old enough this time to wander a little herself.
Anika finally has one tooth now. I guess they'll all come in their own sweet time. She is standing next to furniture all the time now and once in a while she lets go and stands for a few seconds. These days are going by so fast with her.
Kelby is still feeling great. It is such a miracle! I am so thankful all the time. We had to take her in the other day to get her port flushed. I had hoped to have it done up here at our family doctor, but he couldn't get the needle to access it. It was pretty tramatic for Kelby, so I decided I'd take her down to Children's to have it done. A few days later we drove 1 1/4 hours down to Seattle, went in and about 15 minutes later we were back on the road driving the 1 1/4 hours home. Bummer. At least, "It didn't hurt even a bit!" Next time they want her to get an xray of her arm and have blood drawn, so we may as well do it down there. Then perhaps we can try to have our family doctor try again (if Kelby will let him) the next time.
Tegan has adjusted to being home without Kelby...except she always wants to "go some where." We find things to keep her busy...including the weekly trip to Haggens on Mondays and every other week to MOPS.
Thank you all for thinking of us and checking in! We are doing great right now. Thank you for your continued prayers. We are receiving miracles. God bless!
