Well, I've been slowly catching up from our whirlwind of "non-stop fun". I'm not totally there yet. This included cleaning the house and I'm close, but no cigar.
There wasn't a lot of swimming this week because the weather was so fall like. But we did get a nice bike ride in over to the library and post office.
Friday Kelby had a check up with our primary care physician so she can get anesthesia on August 12 for her teeth being removed. I hope that "surgery" doesn't leave her feeling too painful. She'll have to have spacers added to keep her teeth from moving around while she waits for the permanent teeth to move down.
Friday night, Mike and I got to go out to dinner with some friends and we had a sitter come and stay with the girls. They LOVE that! They just love having Maddy come over...and they get to watch movies and eat popcorn. Mike and I enjoyed Mexican and then playing games our our friends house.
Today we drove down to Arlington (about 45 mins away) for a run that Mike thought was today. It turns out that it isn't until next weekend. Oops. Good thing we were armed with the GPS and some more geocaching coordinates! We trounced around the meadows, parks, and forest trails down there looking for more "treasure". It was great fun even though our feet got soakin' wet from the wet grasses. We had lunch out together and then made our way home stopping for more caches on the way. Some of those babies are "micro" caches and challenging to find. We had a couple we didn't find at all. On one we ran into the guy that placed it! He was checking on the cache. If he hadn't of stopped by, we probably wouldn't have found it either. He had a "tracking bug" decal on his car...so we could actually log his car on our "finds" and see where else it had been spotted!
Mike worked in his garden this afternoon and the girls actually made it in the pool for a quick dip. The sun came out!
After dinner we rode our bikes around Sedro-Woolley looking for another geocache. It was a beautiful evening for a ride and we found it! The girls like the family fun we've been having. Mike's scoping out spots for placing his own cache in the near future.
Hope there is time for lots of fun this week and that the weather is nice. It was nice to be home for a weekend to rest and enjoy. We won't get to go camping next weekend either, so I might miss it by then. Mike is going to go down to that run he thought was today next Saturday. We can try again on a couple of the caches we couldn't find and try a couple new ones too.
Love to you all! Hope your summer is fun.
