We didn't hit anybody up for the playground fundraiser we just did since the girls are going to a different school next year anyways.
Instead...the Tegan and Kelby have some raffle tickets to sell to help pay for their Day Camp at church this summer. Tegan gets to go this year too, so she is excited. This is the camp at church that Kelby has gone to the last couple years. They get to go horseback riding, swimming, beach combing, roller skating and get to learn about Jesus too!
Our always amazing, Linda Brown, children's church coordinator has thought of a huge fun fundraiser. They are calling it the "Noah's Boat Float". If you remember the children's church we attend is shaped like a huge ark, so this is very appropriate.
They are raffling off "boats" for $5 each. They will be sending the boats down the Skagit River on July 23rd. Each person buying a boat will have their boat thrown in upriver and the first boat to make it down the river will win the prize!
There are four different races for five different packages. Each package is worth $650! Each person buying four boats will get a bonus boat for free in the $500 cash prize race!
We just want to raise a little money, then Mike and I will buy the rest of the boats to pay for the remainder of camp...they only need to raise $80 per kid. Computer Package: Dell Inspiron 1300 Notebook Computer, Paint Sho 6.0m, WordPerfect 12
Landscaping Package: 24 man hours of landscaping labor and $500 in gift certificates at local nurseries.
Bonus Boat Cash Prize: Buy 4 boats and receive a "bonus boat" for free, which will be entered into a $500 cash race.
