The girls had to get up and go to school for 2 hours today! They didn’t learn anything, but watched the principle drop eggs from the roof of the school! It is actually a pretty cool school tradition and isn’t as bad as it sounds. The kids all try to build a contraption to protect an egg. Tegan built one last year and her egg survived. She had a little help from dad. Both girls tried to recreate that same design on their own this year, but their eggs didn’t survive this time. Maybe next year.
I picked the girls up from school and got their pictures with the principle and their teachers.
We were planning to have a day of play to celebrate no more school. I wanted them to be able to swim, but of course, this is the first day of rain in 29 days! It is just a little too chilly to swim, but we went out to lunch at Applebees at least! And then on to the Children’s Museum for a few minutes.
Great Gramma Wright has an ice cream social at her place every Wednesday over the summer, so we decided to stop in there to visit too! How fun and yummy! There were some gentleman singing and playing the banjo there too.
That day was too chilly to swim. After all the nice weather, the first day we could make it to the church pool and the weather was bad! They did try taking a dip in our home pool.
That evening we got to go to the park for our Girl Scout ceremony and BBQ potluck. The girls received their badges for the year.
That day was jam packed full of fun! It was a great way to end the school year. Hopefully our summer will be fill with lots of fun and not too much busyness.
